Give your family and yourself a gift–have your well tested for PFAS.  If you have to, give up a dinner out with friends or a week-end away or that birthday present you wanted–get your well tested.

“Forever chemicals” are quietly contaminating wells across the nation.  Although Michigan is mentioned as a proactive state, many of Michigan’s private wells remain untested.  If you live in northern Kent County, you would be very wise to test your well, given the historic dumping by Wolverine Worldwide in this area.  If you are invited by EGLE to have your well tested, take them up on it; it won’t cost you anything, you will get a reliable result, and you will help further the research regarding the effect and extent of PFAS in Michigan’s ground water.

Michigan is proactive in that we have the “Michigan PFAS Action Response Team (MPART).” On that site you can find out ways to take action to protect your drinking water.  You may want to use one of the suggested certified testing labs  or you may want to save some money but also get reliable results through Cyclopure’s water test kit.
